It is really fun to be a paleontologist because if you are interested when you dig bones then you will be really interested in the museum. When you are older, like a dad, you could take your kids to the museum and see bones that you found. My favorite museum is the Natural History Museum because there are lots and lots of really cool dinosaurs there. There is more to tell you about that, but I will tell you more about that later. It is really fun to be a paleontologist because maybe you could even find a different species. People don't find new species a lot, but if you look in the right the place and dig deep enough you could find them. Deeper is back in time because when dinosaurs and other species die their bones get covered by sand or rocks because of earthquakes or floods or ocean. Over thousands of years that makes lots of layers. If you look at it, it is kind of like a circle like a tree ring. All the layers go around the earth and if you could imagine that you could cut it in half you could see lots and lots of earth rings. And many, many rings show how old the earth is.
